Google I/O is Google’s largest and most prestigious conference. Each year this event attracts hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world. Zielona Gora is among the venues where you can experience this interactive event. A live transmission will be held at the University of Zielona Gora and it’s organized by the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Automation at the University of Zielona Gora and Cinkciarz.pl, among others.
This year, the Google conference will be held at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California, between the 17th and 19th of May. In order to get there, you need to be lucky and relatively affluent. The interesting thing is that tickets are not for sale. You have to participate in the draw and if you’re lucky, you could win the privilege of buying a ticket which costs 900 dollars.
However, there’s an easier and cheaper way to take part in this event, and to share your opinions with people who have the same passion as you do. Hundreds of thousands of people attend live transmissions, which are organized all over the world. For the third time, Zielona Gora is among one of the places that offer a direct broadcast of the conference. This is one of seven Polish cities that give you such an opportunity. The transmission is organized by the Faculty of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Automation at the University of Zielona Gora, Cinkciarz.pl, GDG (Google Developer Groups) Zielona Gora and the Geek Club Zielona Gora.
