Global fintech Conotoxia added a helpful feature to its mobile application. After scanning the price of the product or goods with the camera, the app automatically converts it into any of the 26 currencies.
Until now, users of the Conotoxia app have been able to convert currency amounts by entering them manually. The feature that has just been introduced allows for even faster conversions. Users simply point the camera at the price, and the app automatically converts it into the chosen currency. There are 26 currencies to choose from Polish zloty, euro, US dollar, Swiss franc, British pound, Turkish lira, Czech koruna, Norwegian and Danish krone, Swedish krona, Hungarian forint, Romanian leu, Bulgarian lev, Serbian dinar, Israeli shekel, United Arab Emirates dirham, Chinese yuan, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, Hong Kong dollar, New Zealand dollar and Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Mexican peso, Thai baht and South African rand. The innovation is already available to Android users and will also be offered on iOS in the coming days.
"With the new feature, Conotoxia users can instantly convert local amounts into selected currencies directly from shop labels or other price tags, whether travelling for business or pleasure around the world. This saves time and ensures that informed and financially advantageous purchasing decisions are always made, no matter where you are or what you are buying. Once converted, you can easily pay with a multi-currency card and check your account balance in a given currency within the app," says Tomasz Wartalski, Chief Innovation Officer at Conotoxia fintech.
Individual and business Conotoxia users can use the mobile app for Android and iOS to check current exchange rates and cryptocurrencies, exchange currencies, as well as manage multi-currency cards and handle loans and international money transfers. The app can also be used to accept BLIK payments on a smartphone.
