Regarding the material aired on 20 November 2024 in the programme 'Reporterzy' on Polish Television, we find it upsetting that the report's authors did not adhere to the standards of journalistic integrity and diligence. Several pieces of information are untrue or incomplete.
The report was based mainly on insinuations, unverified, anonymous statements of people, and a one-sided version presented by a person deeply conflicted with the owners of the Conotoxia Holding - Adam Kuczma. It creates a narrative suggesting that the company has no headquarters and that the conditions under which it operates deprive it of credibility.
In the introduction to the material, a question is raised as to 'whether the company is a financial pyramid'. Furthermore, in the report, one of the interviewees states that the company's activities are based on fraud. The company was not asked to comment on these allegations.
The report's authors hardly presented the company's position. TVP's questions were answered in seven extensive paragraphs, and only the last two sentences of these were broadcast in the TV report. Moreover, the journalist also received further statements and information relevant to the whole case on an ongoing basis.
We would like to point out that Adam Kuczma, who speaks in the material, is in litigation with both our company and his family.
These disputes concern the real estate shown at the beginning of the aired report, to which Adam Kuczma claims rights at the expense of his sister and the Conotoxia Holding. The report did not even include such basic information as the fact that the company had to vacate the buildings due to Adam Kuczma's termination of its leases or that the properties (several hectares in the city centre) are the subject of a court case to determine their ownership status. Cinkciarz.pl, a company belonging to Conotoxia Holding, had an agreement to buy the entire complex with the previous manager, Zbigniew Kuczma, in 2011. Zbigniew Kuczma delayed the transaction several times for various reasons. After Zbigniew Kuczma's tragic death in 2021, Adam Kuczma pledged to complete the transaction, for which he requested and received an additional payment of funds - in the amount of 1.6 million PLN.
Unfortunately, the process was disrupted by an entrepreneur from Zielona Gora who, driven solely by his own interests, decided to ignore our requests to refrain from acting until the inheritance matters were resolved. Just two months after Zbigniew Kuczma's death, Adam Kuczma, with no regard for business ethics or the delicacy of the situation, sought to take over the property in order to finalise his own purchase plans as quickly as possible.
Such actions not only made it impossible to finalise the transaction with Cinkciarz.pl, which had invested in the property for more than a decade but also made it significantly more difficult to resolve the inheritance dispute, complicating the whole situation.
Adam Kuczma has now been summoned to complete the sale and purchase transaction or pay compensation of at least 120 million PLN to Cinkciarz.pl.
Cinkciarz.pl, through a subsidiary, was planning to develop a modern retail park and residential buildings on its site.
The material also included a statement by an anonymous caller claiming that Cinkciarz.pl's troubles are allegedly related to the company's investment in the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. Regardless of the lack of credibility of this information, the current record exchange rate of Bitcoin makes the construction of this insinuation completely unreliable for investment market experts and economic laypeople.
Cinkiciarz.pl will file a civil lawsuit for the protection of personal rights against both TVP, the author of the report Ernest Saj and Adam Kuczma. We will assert our rights in court, defend the reputation of the company and its representatives, and demand appropriate, high compensation.
We appeal not to repeat the lies in the TVP report, to maintain the highest standards of journalistic integrity, and to verify the sources of information. Cinkciarz.pl remains open to constructive dialogue with the media and clarification of any doubts, but we will react firmly to any attempts to violate our personal rights.
