We are constantly expanding our list of offered financial services. Below you will find information about the owner of Conotoxia Holding and the key events in the company’s history.
Founder
Marcin Pioro is the CEO, owner and founder of the companies belonging to Conotoxia Holding. His experience has centred around FX and payment services with a focus on effective strategy, sustainable development and creative marketing.
He has built and successfully manages a group of companies providing innovative financial services. His flagship company, Cinkciarz.pl, is one of the fastest growing fin-tech firms in Europe. Bloomberg Businessweek editors awarded him the title of ‘Best Manager 2015’. He has also received a ‘Digital Shapers’ award in the category of innovation and technology.
Each of Marcin Pioro’s businesses were built from the ground up without external funding. His companies, of which he is the sole owner, have recorded astonishing, exponential growth every year.
Launch of Cinkciarz.pl
Work on Cinkciarz.pl started in 2006, and in 2010 the services was made available to everyone.
Cinkciarz.pl makes it official
Cinkciarz.pl joins SWIFT organisation. In cooperation with KIR, a Polish banking entity, Cinkciarz.pl begins to integrate their advanced security system.
Obtaining a Payments Institution license
Conotoxia Sp. z o.o. was granted a Payment Institution licence. Cinkciarz Sp. z o.o. acts on behalf of and for Conotoxia Sp. z o.o., with which it has signed an agent agreement.
Launch of Conotoxia
Cinkciarz.pl introduced a new brand to the market: Conotoxia. The company has a payment institution license, thanks to which it will offer payments and currency exchange services to international markets.
Chicago Bulls sponsorship announcement
Chicago Bulls announced a new long-term sponsorship contract with Cinkciarz.pl, one of the fastest developing companies in Europe. This agreement is the first global partnership contract of the Chicago Bulls team.
First U.S. license
Conotoxia, Inc., received its first state regulatory approval to conduct business in the United States. Conotoxia, Inc. is now approved to operate and offer its money transfer services in the State of Missouri. This is the first milestone for the company’s North American business unit.
New Forex service
Conotoxia Ltd. launched access to the Forex market. It can be found at Conotoxia.com.
New Money Transfer service
Conotoxia Holding launched money transfers. The service is provided by Conotoxia Sp. z.o.o.
New Payments service
A service of convenient payments in many currencies for shopping in online shops was introduced. The service is provided by Conotoxia Sp. z o.o.
Launch of RegTech services
Conotoxia has made available the RegTech service, thanks to which companies can adjust their activity to the EU requirements on anti-money laundering and fraud prevention.
Start of our business in the USA
Conotoxia Inc., a company belonging to Conotoxia Holding, has started to provide a money transfer service from the United States to Europe.
A multi-currency payment card from Conotoxia
A multi-currency payment card joins the offer available at Conotoxia.com. It enables, among others, shopping online and in traditional stores, withdrawals from ATMs, and payments in over 160 currencies. The service is provided by Conotoxia Sp. z o.o.
Lending service for everyone
Conotoxia has made available online multi-currency lending services first in the "Friends and Family" version, but on December 30, 2020, the loans became available to all web portal users. The service is provided by Currency Lending sp. z o.o.
Multi-currency cards in Europe
Conotoxia multi-currency cards are offered to residents of almost all European Union countries and Norway; exceptions are Ireland, Croatia, Denmark, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
Conotoxia Ltd. opens a branch in Poland
Conotoxia Ltd., which provides a forex service for Conotoxia web portal users, opened a branch in Poland.
Conotoxia`s super app
Conotoxia app combines the functions of several existing apps. It allows, i. a., currency exchange, sending money orders, using and managing multi-currency cards or accepting BLIK payments.
